Sample of items for sale!

Need to make some room in your workshop or barn? Troubled by what to do with the no longer needed shearing stand or clippers?  Have one too many spinning wheels?
Head for the Market Place!

Examples of items you might consider selling: feeders, scales, panels, shears, carders, spinning wheels, swifts, looms, niddy-noddies, knitting needles, and pattern books.  Any fiber animal related equipment you no longer use.

All equipment must be clean and in working order.  Please attach any operating instructions or accessories. 

Items for sale are left with volunteers running the Market Place.   Any sale that occurs during the day will be executed for you and records are kept.

How to have your item(s) included in the Maine Fiber Frolic Used Equipment Sale

• Please pre-register.  Download the attached form  (used equipment form pdf file; or used equipment form msword file), complete and mail to the address printed on the form.  

• Walk-ins the day of the fair are  welcome before 11:00 a.m. (you don't have to pre-register).  You'll just need to spend some time on the paper work.  Car delivery of large items must be made before 9:00 a.m.

If you pre-register before May 9, you may (but are not required) to send in a photo and description of your item by email to be displayed on this website.   Let potential buyers know about your item! 

• Send photo (jpg file) and brief description by May 9 to Hetty Richardson. 

• In the subject line of the email, please type "Fiber Frolic Sale". 

• Please try to make sure that the file size of your photo is no larger than 45 KB (the webmaster has dial-up).  Thanks.

What to do when you arrive

• When you arrive at the Frolic, bring your items directly to the Market Place. Items will be accepted NO LATER than 11 a.m. each day.  Car delivery of large items must be made before 9:00 a.m.

• Your item will be logged in and you’ll receive a tag for each item, with your name and pricing information.

Picking up proceeds and unsold items

• You may pick up your item/sales proceeds beginning at 3 p.m. each day until 4:30 p.m.

• All unsold items MUST be removed from the Market Place NO LATER than 4:30 p.m. Sunday June 8^th.

3 p.m. each day you should plan to return to the Market Place to:

1.Pick up proceeds or

2. Pick up items not sold or

3. Rendezvous with a potential buyer who wishes to negotiate the price of your item.

NOTE:

• The Maine Fiber Frolic (MFF) accesses a 10% commission of the sale price of each item sold at the Fiber Frolic

• All items are left at the Market Place at the owner’s risk.  The Maine Fiber Frolic staff will take every precaution in displaying and handling your equipment, but MFF is not responsible for any damage or theft.
